Penn Station Newark

Beginning on Friday, April 25 at 8PM until Saturday, April 26 at 5AM, Raymond Boulevard Bus Lanes, the Station Concourse Entrance, and the Market Street entrance to Track 5 will be closed at Newark Penn Station due to Newark Penn Station improvement work.

During this time, customers are encouraged to check signage and passenger information displays and listen for announcements before going to the platform to board their trains. 

NOTE: Customers traveling by bus during this time will be dropped off on Market Street and picked up on Raymond Plaza West.

On Saturday, May 3, from approximately 6:30AM until approximately 6:30PM, North Jersey Coast Line trains will be subject to delays of up to 15 minutes due to bridge maintenance in Red Bank.

  • Eastbound: Trains may be delayed from Red Bank to New York.

  • Westbound: Trains may be delayed from Hazlet to Long Branch. Connecting shuttle trains traveling from Long Branch to Bay Head may also be subject to delays.

Delays of up to 25 minutes possible

 

On the following weekends in April, each day from approximately 7AM until approximately 7PM, North Jersey Coast Line trains traveling westbound (to Bay Head) may be subject to delays of up to 25 minutes at Point Pleasant Beach and Bay Head due to electrical work:

  • Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6
  • Saturday, April 12, and Sunday, April 13
  • Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27

NOTE: This is in addition to any delays due to work on the Northeast Corridor between Newark and New York.
