2026 Racing Season: May 9 – September 13

Monmouth Park’s 2026 live racing season opens on Saturday, May 9 and runs through September 13. North Jersey Coast Line trains stop at Monmouth Park Station on live racing days only.

Post times: Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday Mondays at 12:50pm. Fridays at 2pm.

Marquee event of the season: NYRA Bets Haskell Day, Saturday, July 18, 2026 — the Shore’s biggest race and the summer’s biggest party. Admission pricing varies on NYRA Bets Haskell Day.

Getting to Monmouth Park

Monmouth Park Station is a stop on the North Jersey Coast Line — and with NJ TRANSIT connections from most rail lines, getting here is simpler than you might think.

By Rail — From New York & Newark (Direct)

The North Jersey Coast Line runs directly to Monmouth Park Station from:

  • New York Penn Station — direct, no transfer needed.
  • Newark Penn Station — direct, no transfer needed.

By Rail — From the Rest of New Jersey (Via Connection)

Most NJ TRANSIT rail lines connect to the North Jersey Coast Line with one easy transfer:

  • Main-Bergen County Lines, Pascack Valley Line, Morris & Essex Line, & Montclair-Boonton Line: Transfer at Secaucus Junction to any North Jersey Coast Line southbound train, then continue to Monmouth Park Station.
  • Raritan Valley Line: Transfer at Newark Penn Station to the North Jersey Coast Line.
  • Northeast Corridor: If you’re traveling north on the Northeast Corridor to get to Monmouth Park, transfer at Rahway station to any North Jersey Coast Line southbound train, then continue to Monmouth Park Station.

By Bus — Caesars Sportsbook on Non-Race Days

The Caesars Sportsbook at Monmouth Park is open seven days a week — including days when there is no live racing and Monmouth Park Station is not served by train.

Bus Route 831 serves Monmouth Park year-round and is a great option for a dedicated sportsbook visit — no driving, no parking, and you can make a full day of it.

BYO & Cooler Policy

Monmouth Park welcomes picnickers with a clear BYO policy. Here’s what to know before you pack:

  • All coolers and BYO items must enter through the Picnic Gate only. Follow signs for Grandstand/Picnic parking.
  • Maximum cooler size: 15” × 25”.
  • Beer, wine, and hard seltzers only. No hard alcohol. Cans and plastic preferred over glass.
  • All coolers and BYO must remain in the picnic area at all times. No coolers or BYO permitted in the building or outside the picnic area.
  • Picnic area opens at 11am.
