Effective Monday, July 1, Raritan Valley Line Train 5711, which currently departs Newark Penn Station at 7:25AM, will now depart at 7:21AM. All station stops will be made four minutes earlier.

New York Penn Station

Beginning Monday, July 8, from 9:30AM until 3:15PM weekdays until Friday, July 19, the Princeton Dinky Shuttle will be replaced by NJ TRANSIT bus service due to annual routine maintenance. During this time, buses will depart Princeton Station 15 minutes before the regular departure time and arrive at Princeton Station 15 minutes later than the normal train time. 

 

Full bus schedules will be available by Monday, July 1. 

 

NOTE: During this time, weekend service will operate on a normal schedule.

New York Penn Station

On Saturday, July 13, for the entire service day (6AM Saturday until 2:30AM Sunday, July 14), Raritan Valley Line trains will be replaced by NJ TRANSIT buses between Cranford and Newark to support track upgrades on Conrail’s Lehigh Line.

NOTES:

  • During the busing period, customers may experience delays of up to 60 minutes, depending on their direction of travel and final destination.
  • B indicates time of substitute bus.
  • C indicates customers must change trains at Newark Penn Station for travel to/from New York, Secaucus, or Hoboken.
  • For information on connecting PATH service, visit pathrail.com.
  • Bicycles ARE NOT permitted on RVL trains during the period of substitute busing. At other times, normal weekend bicycle rules apply. See printed timetables or printer-friendly schedules for details.

BUS BOARDING LOCATIONS:

Cranford: At station entrance on North Avenue and Alden Street.

Roselle Park: At station building (off West Lincoln Avenue).

Union: In front of station plaza (Conant Street).

Newark Penn Station: On Raymond Plaza West, at main entrance of station.
