Journal Square Transportation Center: Lane C Closure - Effective Saturday, September 28, 2024
Effective Saturday, September 28, 2024, stage 2 of the Journal Square Transportation Center construction project will begin. During this time, Lane C will be closed.
The following lane assignments will be in effect beginning on Saturday, September 28:
Lane A:
- A1 – 80 to Jersey City/Gates Avenue/Society Hill via West Side Avenue
- A2 – 87 to Jersey City/Gates Avenue via Martin Luther King Drive
- A3 – 319 to Atlantic City
Lane B (All overnight service in Lane B remains unchanged):
- B1 – 84 and 88 to North Bergen
- B2 – 2 and 83 to Secaucus and Hackensack
- B3 – 6 serving Jersey City via Ocean Avenue
- B4 – Community Lines (NJT 119 to New York 11:01PM – 4:29AM)
Lane C:
- CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION
Lane D:
- D1 – 10 and 87 to Bayonne and Hoboken
- D3 – 80 to Exchange Place
- D4 – 125 to New York
Due to scheduled ongoing construction at Journal Square Transportation Center, lane assignments for all bus lines are subject to change. Please check www.njtransit.com for updates and be attentive to announcements, posters, and handouts regarding any changes.
The 1, 8, and 14 lines will board and alight along Sip Avenue between Jones Street and Summit Avenue.
Please note that the 119 line will not serve Journal Square between 4:30AM and 11PM. Customers should use MyBus #20818 for service to New York and MyBus #30232 for service to Bayonne. 119 service will operate in Lane B from 11:01PM – 4:29AM.
