Ownership of Social Media Content

All of the content uploaded or appearing on a New Jersey Transit Corporation ("NJ TRANSIT") Social Media Platform – including information, text, links, graphics, photos, audio, videos, or other material or arrangement of materials ("Content") – is owned by NJ TRANSIT or others NJ TRANSIT licenses Content from or to, and is protected by copyright, trademark, patent and other laws.

Third parties may not use NJ TRANSIT's trademarks, service marks, confusingly similar marks, trade dress and imitations thereof, or copyrighted materials for any use without express authorization from NJ TRANSIT and may not alter NJ TRANSIT's trademarks, service marks, trade dress, or copyrighted materials in any way.

NJ TRANSIT reserves all rights not expressly described herein.

NJ Transit's Trademarks

NJ TRANSIT is the owner of multiple trademarks, service marks, and/or trade dress, that include, but are not limited to, "NJ TRANSIT The Way To Go." phrase and logos; "The Way To Go."; "NJ TRANSIT" phrase and logo; chevron (tri-color) logo; NJ (NJ nested) logo; "Quik-Tik" phrase and logo; "njtransit.com"; "River LINE" phrase and logos; "Adelante Con" phrase and logo; "Hudson-Bergen Light Rail" phrase and logos; "Newark Light Rail" phrase and logos; "MyBus"; "DepartureVision"; "Quiet Commute" phrase and logos; "My Light Rail" phrase and logo; "MyBus Now"; "NJ TRANSIT Mobile App" phrase and 2D and 3D logos; "MyTrain" phrase; "Music in Motion" phrase and logo; "MyTix" phrase; "Score Card" logo; logos for NJ TRANSIT rail services on the Main Line, Bergen County Line, Pascack Valley Line, Montclair-Boonton Line, Morris & Essex Lines, Morristown Line, Gladstone Branch, Raritan Valley Line, Northeast Corridor Line, North Jersey Coast Line, Atlantic City Line and any of NJ TRANSIT's proprietary product or service names; banners, custom graphics, button icons, and scripts.

Use of NJ TRANSIT's trademarks, service marks, and/or trade dress by NJ TRANSIT on an NJ TRANSIT Social Media Platform does not grant third party users of that Social Media Platform a license or any ownership rights to any NJ TRANSIT trademarks, service marks, or trade dress. Use of NJ TRANSIT's trademarks, service marks, and/or trade dress by third party users may constitute trademark infringement and/or a violation of a Social Media Platform's user agreement. NJ TRANSIT respects the intellectual property rights of others and enforces its own intellectual property rights, including requesting that infringing, impersonating, or other unlawful conduct be removed from a Social Media Platform. NJ TRANSIT reserves the right to pursue further action against any third party user it deems as infringing, impersonating, or other unlawful conduct against its intellectual property beyond having the third party removed from a Social Media Platform.

NJ Transit's Copyrighted Material

NJ TRANSIT is the owner of multiple copyrights, which include, but are not limited to, all original works, information, documents, applications, maps, sounds, images, software, services, and other materials created by or owned by NJ TRANSIT. Use of NJ TRANSIT's copyrighted Content by NJ TRANSIT on an NJ TRANSIT Social Media Platform does not grant third party users of that Social Media Platform a license or any ownership rights to any NJ TRANSIT copyrighted Content. Use of NJ TRANSIT's copyrighted Content by third party users may constitute copyright infringement and/or a violation of a Social Media Platform's user agreement. NJ TRANSIT respects the intellectual property rights of others and enforces its own intellectual property rights, including requesting that infringing, impersonating, or other unlawful conduct be removed from a Social Media Platform.
