Bus Detour for No. 9 in Jersey City – Wednesday, April 2, 2025

Effective Wednesday, April 2 at 6:30PM, and continuing until Thursday, April 3, at 4AM, Bergen Avenue will be closed between Highland and Duncan avenues due to a movie shoot. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 9 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newport Mall  will travel from Montgomery Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard, make a right John F. Kennedy Boulevard, left on Fairmount Avenue, right on Bergen Avenue, left on Fairmount Avenue, left on Monticello Avenue, continue on Jordan Avenue, right on Montgomery Street, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Society Hill  will travel from Montgomery Street and Summit Avenue, right on Summit Avenue, left on Mercer Street, continue onto Glenwood Avenue, left on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, right on Montgomery Street, and then continue the regular route.     

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
