Pascack Valley Line: NJ TRANSIT Offers Extra Rail Service for St. Patrick’s Day Parade - Monday, March 17, 2025
Beverages Will Not be Permitted on any NJ TRANSIT Vehicle on March 17
On Monday, March 17, NJ TRANSIT – in cooperation with Metro-North Railroad – will operate extra rail service on the Pascack Valley and Port Jervis Lines to accommodate customers traveling to the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City.
On the Pascack Valley Line, Train 1622 – the 8:50AM departure from Spring Valley – will operate in two sections:
- The first section will depart at 8:50AM, and operate express from Pearl River to Secaucus and Hoboken.
- Customers who normally use 1622 in New Jersey should use Train 9622, which will depart Pearl River at 9:09AM, and make all stops to Secaucus and Hoboken except Teterboro. 9622 will make the same stops as 1622 with delays up to 10 minutes.
On the Port Jervis Line, extra Train 96 will depart Port Jervis at 7AM, make all stops to Suffern, then make stops at Route 17, Secaucus, and Hoboken only, arriving in Hoboken at 9:17AM. At Secaucus, customers change to New York-bound Train 3716, which departs Secaucus at 9:11AM.
- In addition, Train 58 will originate in Otisville this day. Port Jervis customers who normally use Train 58 will be transported to Middletown Station by bus. The bus will depart Port Jervis at the usual train time (9:21AM).
