Bus Detour for Nos. 85 & 87 in Hoboken – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, Observer Highway will be closed between Observer Highway and 18th Street due to road repair and water main work. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 85 and 87 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Hoboken Terminal will travel from Newark and Grove streets, make a right on Grove Street, left on 18th Street, left on Henderson Street/Marin Boulevard, right on Observer Highway, and then continue the regular route.  
• Buses traveling toward Jersey City will travel from Observer Highway and Henderson Street, make a left on Henderson Street, right on 18th Street, right on Grove Street, right on Newark Street, left on Madison Street, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
