Bus Detour for No. 509 in Somers Point – Saturday, January 4-Friday, March 14, 2025
Beginning Saturday, January 4 at 9AM and continuing through Friday, March 14, New Road (US-9) will be closed between Mays Landing Road and MacArthur BLVD for a pedestrian tunnel replacement project. During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 509 in Somers Point will operate on a detour as follows:
Buses traveling toward Ocean City will travel from Route 9 and MacArthur BLVD, make a left on MacArthur BLVD, continue on MacArthur BLVD, and then continue the regular route.
Buses traveling toward Atlantic City will travel from MacArthur BLVD and Mays Landing Road, continue on MacArthur BLVD, make a right on Route 9, and then continue the regular route.
Buses terminating at Somers Point will terminate at Route 9 and MacArthur BLVD.
Buses originating at Somers Point will begin at Route 9 and Pennsylvania Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
Note: Bus stops may be lost during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
