Bus Detour for No. 34 in Newark - Effective Immediately

Effective immediately until Friday, February 28, 2025, from 8AM to 5PM, Central Avenue will be closed between South 8th Street and South 10th Street due to road work.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 34 in Newark will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Central Avenue and South 8th Street, continue on South 8th Street, make a left on 12th Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
