Bus Detour for No. 181 in North Bergen – Thursday, December 5, 2024

Effective Thursday, December 5, from 3PM until 10PM, Bergenline Avenue will be closed between 76th and 85th streets due to the Winterfest Festival. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 181 will operate on a detour as follows:

  • Buses traveling toward George Washington Bridge will travel from 76th Street and Bergenline Avenue, make a left on 76th Street, right on JFK Boulevard, right on 85th Street, left on Bergenline Avenue, and then continue the regular route.  
  • Buses traveling toward Union City will travel from 85th Street and Bergenline Avenue, make a right on 85th Street, left on JFK Boulevard, left on 76th Street, right on Bergenline Avenue, and then continue the regular route. 

Bus stops will be lost and minor delays expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully, and allow for extra travel time.
