Bus Detour for No. 836 in Asbury Park - Thursday, November 21, 2024 to Wednesday, June 25, 2025

Effective from Thursday, November 21, 2024, to Wednesday, June 25, 2025, each day from 2:15PM to 3:30PM, Atkins Avenue will be closed between Corlies Avenue and Memorial Drive due to school dismissal at Midtown Elementary.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 836 in Asbury Park will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Freehold will travel from Atkins Avenue and Heck Avenue, make a left onto Heck Avenue, right on Memorial Drive, right on Corlies Avenue (Route 33 West), and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward the Asbury Park Station will travel from Corlies Avenue and Atkins Avenue, continue straight on Corlies Avenue to Memorial Drive, make a left on Memorial Drive, right on Springwood Avenue, then continue straight into Asbury Park Station.  

Please note, this detour is only active during school dismissal from Monday through Fridays.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
