Bus Detour for No. 56 in Linden – Friday, December 6, 2024

Effective Friday, December 6, from 2PM until 9PM, Wood Avenue will be closed between Elizabeth Avenue and Henry Street due to Christmas Tree Lighting.  

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 56 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Elizabeth will travel from Wood Avenue and Henry Street, make a left on Henry Street, right on Roselle Street, right on Elizabeth Avenue, left on Wood Avenue, and then continue the regular route.  
• Buses traveling toward Winfield will travel from Wood and Elizabeth avenues, make a right on Elizabeth Avenue, left on Roselle Street, left on Curtis Street, right on Wood Avenue, and then continue the regular route.       

Bus stops will be lost and minor delays expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully, and allow for extra travel time.
