NJ TRANSIT Rail Service: New Rail Schedules – Effective Sunday, November 10, 2024
On Sunday, November 10, new NJ TRANSIT Rail schedules will take effect on all lines. Please check timetables carefully for numerous adjustments in addition to the time and stop changes noted below:
Morris & Essex Lines:
- Train 6200, the 4:45AM departure from Montclair State University Station, will depart Montclair State University Station 5 minutes earlier at 4:40AM and make additional stops at Montclair Heights and Watsessing Avenue.
- Train 6602, the 4:16AM departure from Dover Station, will depart all stations 6 to 8 minutes earlier and no longer stop at Mt Tabor Station.
- Mt. Tabor customers may use Train 600 at 4:38AM.
- Train 402, the 5:10AM departure from Gladstone Station, will depart all stations from Gladstone to South Orange 6 minutes earlier. Train 402 now stops at Mountain Station, Highland Avenue, Orange, and East Orange stations.
- Transfer at Newark Broad Street Station for Penn Station New York.
- Train 6606, the 5:31AM departure from Dover Station, will now stop at Short Hills, Millburn, and Orange stations and will no longer stop at Secaucus.
- Train 6610, the 5:54AM departure from Dover Station, will now stop at Maplewood, South Orange, and Brick Church stations and will no longer stop at Short Hills or Millburn stations.
- Short Hills and Millburn station customers may use Train 6606 or 6406.
- Train 6406, the 5:56AM departure from Peapack Station, will now stop at Short Hills, Millburn, and Maplewood stations and express to Penn Station New York.
- This train will no longer stop at South Orange, Orange, Brick Church, or Newark Broad Street stations. Customers at these stations may use Train 6610 or 6612.
- Train 6612, the 6:09AM departure from Dover Station, will now stop at South Orange, Orange, Brick Church, and Newark Broad Street stations.
- This train will no longer stop at Short Hills, Millburn, and Maplewood stations. Customers at these stations may use Trains 6406, 6314, or 6410.
- Train 6305, the 6:05AM departure from Penn Station New York, will depart 7 minutes earlier at 5:58AM and make an additional stop at Orange Station.
Northeast Corridor:
- Train 3808, the 4:22AM departure from Trenton Station, will depart from Trenton Station through New Brunswick Station 5 minutes earlier and will now stop at Metuchen and Edison stations.
- Train 3704, the 5:50AM departure from Jersey Avenue Station, will depart from Jersey Avenue through Metropark stations 5 minutes earlier, and will now stop at Rahway, Linden, Elizabeth, and North Elizabeth stations.
- Train 3812, the 5:22AM departure from Trenton Station, will depart Trenton Station 12 minutes later at 5:34AM and will no longer stop at Rahway, Linden, Elizabeth or North Elizabeth stations.
- Customers at these stations may use Train 3704 or Train 3814.
- Train 3892, which departs Trenton Station at 11:53PM, will depart 9 minutes later at 12:02AM.
- Train 3800 on weekdays and train 7800 on weekends, which departs Trenton Station at 12:23AM, will depart Trenton Station 16 minutes later at 12:39AM.
- Train 3737, the 9:56PM departure from Penn Station New York will depart 11 minutes later at 10:07PM.
- Train 3891, the 10:11AM departure from Penn Station New York, is replaced by Train 3979. Train 3979 will stop at Secaucus, Newark, Princeton Junction, Hamilton, and Trenton stations only.
- For Rahway through Jersey Avenue stations, customers on Train 3891 may use rescheduled Train 3737.
- On weekends, new Train 7842 will operate between Trenton Station and Penn Station New York. Train 7842 will depart Trenton at 2:20PM, make all stops to Metropark Station, then express to Newark Airport, Newark, and New York stations.
On the North Jersey Coast Line, Atlantic City Rail Line, Raritan Valley Line, Princeton Dinky, Montclair-Boonton, Main-Bergen, and Pascack Valley Lines, please check timetables carefully for additional minor time changes and changes to connecting service at Newark and Secaucus stations.
Customers are advised to carefully check Train Schedules and Printer-Friendly Timetables for specific updates to each line.
