Bus Detour for No. 34 in Newark - Effective Immediately

Effective immediately until Friday, October 25, from 7AM to 5PM, 12th Avenue will be closed between 8th Street and 9th Street for a gas main pipe installation. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 34 in Newark will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark Penn Station will travel from 10th Street and 12th Avenue, continue on 10th Street, make a left on 13th Avenue, left on 8th Street, right on 12th Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Bloomfield and Montclair will travel from 12th Avenue and 7th Street, make a right on 7th Street, left on 11th Avenue, right on 10th Street, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
