Bus Detour for No. 1 in Jersey City – Wednesday, October 2, 2024

Effective Wednesday, October 2nd, and continuing until Friday, January 31, 2025, Journal Square Platform C will be closed on Sip Avenue due to continued construction.  

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 1 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Journal Square will travel from Sip Avenue and JFK Boulevard, make a left on JFK Boulevard, bear left on JFK Boulevard, right on Pavonia Avenue, right on Summit Avenue, right on Sip Avenue, and then layover at the Sip Avenue Bus Stop.   
• Buses traveling toward Newark will continue on Sip Avenue and then continue the regular route. 

Bus stops will be lost and minor delays expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully, and allow for extra travel time.
