Port Jervis Line: Buses Replace Trains due to Track Work – Weekends Through June 2024

Beginning on Saturday, April 20, and continuing on weekends until early June, from approximately 12:30AM on Saturday until 11:59PM on Sunday, buses will replace Port Jervis Line trains at New York stations due to infrastructure maintenance.

Service notes:

  • Local trains will operate normally between Suffern/Waldwick/Ridgewood and Hoboken. Express trains will not operate.
    • Westbound (from New York/Hoboken/Secaucus) customers traveling beyond Suffern must transfer to buses at Ramsey-Route 17 station.
    • Eastbound (to Secaucus/Hoboken/New York/), at all stations from Port Jervis through Sloatsburg, customers will board buses that will operate to Ramsey-Route 17 station.
    • Please check the schedule posters for bus schedule details.
  • Customers arriving at Route 17 by bus from stations in New York State will connect with eastbound (to Secaucus/ Hoboken/New York) trains operating once an hour from 6:14AM until 10:23PM, then at 12:18AM.
    • NOTE for customers who would normally use Train 82 (8:41PM departure from Port Jervis) and detrain at stations from Glen Rock through Kingsland, inclusive: Connect with the eastbound train at Route 17, then transfer again at Ridgewood for travel to stations from Glen Rock through Kingsland.
  • Customers arriving at Route 17 by train from New York/Hoboken/Secaucus and all intermediate stations will transfer to buses that will depart 10 minutes after the connecting train arrives at Route 17.

NOTE: Regular weekend train service will operate on Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day).
