Expanded Coffee Shop and Newsstand Bring Improved Amenities to NJ TRANSIT Customers and Supports Efforts to Increase Non-Farebox Revenue

SECAUCUS, NJ — NJ TRANSIT is pleased to announce the grand re-opening of the newly renovated Dunkin’ and Faber News in the Main Concourse of Secaucus Junction Station. The store features a new modern look with a seating area for dining and new expanded hours.
The customer amenity retail services, which share one storefront, underwent an extensive remodel that included expanding the store by more than 1,000 square feet to create an attractive open concept layout, making it easier and more efficient for customers to navigate.
The retailer made approximately $792,000 in leasehold improvements to the location. The space’s modern design also brings new technologies, such as an innovative beverage tap system, which will serve up drinks such as Dunkin’s nitro cold brew coffee.
The lease agreement will provide more than $3.4 million in non-farebox revenue to NJ TRANSIT over the eight-year lease. While providing an additional revenue stream to NJ TRANSIT, customers will continue to enjoy the convenience of nationally recognized brands in Secaucus Junction Station.
The store’s newly expanded hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday - Friday, and weekend hours from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
