Traveling to Yankee Stadium

Yankee Stadium is served by NYC Transit on the (D) and (4) subway lines.  The subway fare is $2.25 each way.

Customers should use NJ TRANSIT’s Trip Planner to get the best itinerary, by entering their starting location and using “Yankee Stadium” as their destination.  The Trip Planner will provide a step-by-step itinerary for the entire trip.

Customers traveling from New Jersey can connect to the subway lines in several ways:

  • By Train to New York Penn Station:  Customers traveling by train to New York Penn Station can connect to the (D) subway by walking one block east to 6th Avenue/Herald Square.  Take the (D) train uptown to 161st Street/Yankee Stadium.  From Penn Station, you can also take the (A) or (C) train uptown to 59th Street/Columbus Circle for a connection to the (D) train.

  • By Bus to the Port Authority Bus Terminal:  Customers traveling by bus to the Port Authority Bus Terminal should take the (A) or (C) train uptown to 59th Street/Columbus Circle and transfer to the (D) train.  Take the (D) train uptown to 161st Street/Yankee Stadium.

  • Traveling from Philadelphia or South Jersey:  Fans traveling to New York from points south of Trenton should consider driving to Trenton Transit Center or Hamilton stations on the Northeast Corridor.  Both of these stations have large parking facilities and offer direct service to New York Penn Station.  Best of all, service runs late!  The last train from New York departs at 1:41 a.m., seven nights a week.

Traveling to Citizens Bank Park

SEPTA bus and subway workers have set a potential strike deadline for 12:01 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009, which could disrupt service. Please check SEPTA.org before starting your trip.

Citizens Bank Park is served by SEPTA’s Broad Street Line ($1.45 each way) which connects the stadium with Center City Philadelphia.  Customers traveling from New Jersey can connect to the Broad Street Line in several ways:

  • Via SEPTA R7 Rail Service to Suburban Station:  For fans traveling from New York or points north of Trenton in New Jersey, the fastest way to Philadelphia is NJ TRANSIT Northeast Corridor service to Trenton Transit Center, which connects to SEPTA’s R7 Line.  Take the R7 train to Suburban Station and connect to the Broad Street Line for service to the stadium.

    • To plan this trip using NJ TRANSIT’s Trip Planner, customers should use “Philadelphia 30th Street Station” as their destination, but remain on the train one more stop to Suburban Station.

    • Fans can purchase joint SEPTA/NJ TRANSIT tickets at all NJ TRANSIT rail ticket vending machines, at NJ TRANSIT rail ticket offices, at SEPTA ticket windows at Suburban and Market Street East stations and at SEPTA ticket vending machines at 30th Street Station.  Customers can travel between New York and Philadelphia for as low as $18.75 each way, based on an off-peak round trip purchase.  Customers should be mindful of SEPTA last train departure times from Suburban Station.  Visit www.septa.org for details.

  • Via NJ TRANSIT Bus or PATCO to Center City Philadelphia:  Customers traveling from Burlington, Camden or Atlantic counties can connect to the Broad Street Line by using either NJ TRANSIT Bus or PATCO service.  Customers on the Atlantic City Rail Line can connect to PATCO at Lindenwold Station ($2.70 each way, 24 minute trip time).  Customers on the River Line can connect to PATCO at the Walter Rand Transportation Center (aka PATCO Broadway Station) in Camden ($1.25 each way, 8 minute trip time).  Take PATCO to 12th-13th Street Station and connect to the Broad Street Line for service to the stadium.  Customers can also connect to the Broad Street Line by taking any of several NJ TRANSIT bus lines to 13th and Market streets in Philadelphia.

    • To plan these trips using NJ TRANSIT’s Trip Planner, customers should enter “City Hall, Philadelphia” as their destination, then follow signs to the Broad Street Line upon their arrival.
