PASCACK VALLEY LINE IS INSIDE TRACK TO HANNAH MONTANA TICKETS
NJ TRANSIT announces sweepstakes, bring-a-friend-free offer to encourage new ridership on upgraded rail line
ORADELL, NJ ¿ The Pascack Valley Line may have just become the mandatory travel mode for any Bergen County resident with a daughter in middle school.
NJ TRANSIT is offering a family prize package that includes tickets to the hottest concert this holiday season¿ "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds" at the Prudential Center in Newark¿to encourage new ridership on the Pascack Valley Line¿s new weekend service.
Dubbed the "Hannah Montana Dreamstakes," one lucky winner will receive four tickets to the sold-out show courtesy of AEG Live, complimentary dinner for four at Spain Restaurant in Newark¿s Ironbound section and roundtrip transportation on NJ TRANSIT.
As an additional incentive to try the new Pascack Valley Line (PVL), any fare-paying customer can bring a friend for free during the first two weekends of December, including trips to New York via Secaucus Junction. Simply visit www.njtransit.com/PVL to print out a free "guest pass" that can be presented to the conductor aboard the train.
To get the "best of both worlds," the PVL bring-a-friend-free offer can be combined with NJ TRANSIT¿s longstanding Family SuperSaver discount, which allows up to two kids (11 and under) to travel free on weekends with a fare-paying adult. By combining the two offers, an entire family of four¿two adults and two kids 11 and under¿can travel to New York for less than $12 roundtrip!
"Riding the Pascack Valley Line on weekends is less expensive than driving and paying to park," said NJ TRANSIT Assistant Executive Director Lynn Bowersox. "We know once people try it, they will come back."
The Hannah Montana Dreamstakes begins on November 16 and ends at noon EST on December 12, 2007. Customers can enter by printing out an entry form at www.njtransit.com/PVL and dropping it in entry boxes in Secaucus Junction, Hoboken Terminal, Newark Penn Station or New York Penn Station. No purchase necessary; visit www.njtransit.com/PVL for complete rules. The PVL bring-a-friend-free offer is not valid for travel from Pearl River, Nanuet or Spring Valley, NY.
The Pascack Valley Line was recently upgraded to allow for bi-directional service and now features 121 new trains each week, including new weekend service that enables Bergen County residents to reach great holiday destinations throughout New Jersey and New York without worrying about traffic, parking or tolls.
