NJ TRANSIT SERVICE ALERT: NORTHEAST CORRIDOR RAIL SERVICE SUSPENDED DUE TO AMTRAK POWER PROBLEM

NEWARK, NJ — Northeast Corridor rail service is temporarily suspended between Trenton and New York due to an Amtrak power problem caused by an earlier transformer fire in New Brunswick.
NJ TRANSIT is advising customers of the following:
- There is no train service between Trenton and New York on the Northeast Corridor.
- Limited diesel service only on the North Jersey Coast Line is operating from Bay Head to Hoboken.
- Midtown Direct trains are being routed to/from Hoboken Terminal, where customers can connect to PATH at no additional charge.
- All trains to/from Hoboken Terminal are subject to 10-15 minute delays due to congestion from Midtown trains.
To give customers alternate travel options, NJ TRANSIT rail tickets and passes are being honored on NJ TRANSIT buses, private carrier buses and PATH trains.
