NJ TRANSIT RIDERS RECEIVE DISCOUNT ON TICKETS TO ATLANTIC CITY INTERNATIONAL POWER BOAT SHOW

NEWARK, NJ, February 4, 2002 -- NJ TRANSIT customers can save $4 off admission ($15) to the Atlantic City International Power Boat Show from February 6-10. Ride NJ TRANSIT and leave the hassles of driving and parking behind.

To receive a discount, NJ TRANSIT customers should present a promotional flyer or coupon along with their bus or rail ticket, pass or transportation receipt at the Atlantic City Convention Center Box Office during show hours.

NJ TRANSIT runs rail service directly from Philadelphia's 30th Street Station to the International Boat Show at Atlantic City's Convention Center, located directly adjacent to the Atlantic City Rail Terminal. Climb aboard at convenient stops in Cherry Hill, Lindenwold, Atco, Hammonton, Egg Harbor and Absecon. Tickets are available at all train stations and cost $6 from Philadelphia, and less from subsequent stops. Bus service is also available to Atlantic City from many destinations.

To accommodate the expected increase in ridership to the Powerboat Show, NJ TRANSIT will provide one extra inbound train and one extra outbound train on Saturday, February 9, and Sunday, February 10. Inbound train 4511 will leave Cherry Hill at 8:59 a.m., making all stops and arriving in Atlantic City at 10:07 a.m. Outbound train 4516 will leave Atlantic City at 1:26 p.m., making all stops and arriving in Cherry Hill at 2:40 p.m.

NJ TRANSIT also offers a Weekend Family Super Saver Fare for those travelling to the event. The Super Saver Fare allows two children 11 and under to travel free with each fare-paying adult on weekends. Super Saver Fare is available beginning at 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday. Senior Citizen and round-trip excursion tickets will be valid without restriction throughout the period.
