NJ TRANSIT RESUMES BUS ROUTES SERVING SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE

New Route added for Trenton Customers

NEWARK, NJ, March 12, 2003 – Summer is only a few short months away but NJ TRANSIT is getting an early start on summer fun with the resumption of bus service to Six Flags Great Adventure beginning April 5, the day the amusement park opens.

THIS IS AN OLD PRESS RELEASE. BUS ROUTE 310 IS NO LONGER IN SERVICE

Among the highlights of the summer bus service, NJ TRANSIT will offer a new bus route – Bus No. 310 Trenton–Six Flags Great Adventure. This bus route will serve Trenton Rail Station and make a stop in downtown Trenton before traveling express to and from the park. Timetables will be available prior to the start of service and customers are encouraged to pick them up for review. Schedules will also be available at www.njtransit.com.

In addition, customers who use bus routes No. 307, No. 309 and No. 310 can receive a discount on the theme park or Hurricane Harbor water park admission ticket. Customers must hold onto their bus ticket receipt and turn it in at Six Flags Great Adventure or Hurricane Harbor ticket window. Safari admission and shuttle service is included with the discounted admission ticket to the theme park.

Additional bus routes include:

 

  • The No. 307 Freehold–Six Flags Great Adventure will operate daily when the park opens on April 5.
  • The No. 309 Toms River–Lakewood Six Flags Great Adventure will operate Thursdays through Sundays only between April 5 and May 9. On May 10, the schedule will be updated with more service when the park opens daily for the season.
  • The No. 318 Philadelphia–Six Flags Great Adventure will operate Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. There will be no service on Easter Sunday, April 20 and on Saturday June 7, when the park will be closed to the general public.
  • The No. 308 New York-Six Flags Great Adventure will operate Saturdays, Sundays and holidays through May 18, there will be no service on Easter Sunday and Saturday June 7. Daily service will begin May 24. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays through Labor Day, buses will be available at the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 8:30 a.m., with the last bus departing New York at 9:30 a.m. Buses will begin leaving Six Flags around 8:00 p.m., with the last bus departing at 8:30 p.m.
