NJ TRANSIT RESTORING SERVICE FOR CUSTOMERS IMPACTED BY REGIONAL POWER OUTAGE
8:45 p.m. Service Update
NEWARK, NJ – NJ TRANSIT is continuing to restore service to customers impacted by a regional power outage in the New Jersey/New York metropolitan area.
RAIL:
NJ TRANSIT is currently offering customers limited rail service on the following lines:
· Northeast Corridor.
· North Jersey Coast Line.
· Main/Bergen lines.
· Port Jervis Line.
· Pascack Valley Line.
· Raritan Valley Line
NJ TRANSIT is still operating shuttle bus service from Hoboken Terminal for customers on the Morris & Essex Lines.
Normal service is operating on the Atlantic City Line.
BUS:
· NJ TRANSIT is transporting customers from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York to the Meadowlands Park/Ride. Additional buses are waiting at that location to take passengers to northern and central New Jersey. Significant delays are reported due to traffic congestion
LIGHT RAIL:
· Hudson-Bergen Light Rail service is suspended.
· Newark City Subway service is suspended. A shuttle bus operation is assisting these passengers.
