NJ TRANSIT TO PROVIDE MEADOWLANDS RAIL SERVICE FOR COLDPLAY CONCERT

Customers encouraged to purchase round-tip tickets and carefully check rail schedules

NEWARK, NJ -- Music fans heading to the Coldplay concert at MetLife Stadium Tuesday, August 1st will have the option to take the train as NJ TRANSIT will be providing its Meadowlands rail service.

 

Service to MetLife Stadium will begin at 4:35 p.m. from Secaucus. Customers should note that there is no direct service from Hoboken or Penn Station New York to the Meadowlands. All customers must change trains at Secaucus.

 

The final Meadowlands-bound train will depart from Secaucus at 9:10 p.m.

 

Following the concert, NJ TRANSIT will operate additional trains between Secaucus and Penn Station New York as a supplement to regularly scheduled service.

 

Customers are strongly advised to plan ahead and carefully check rail schedules for service from Secaucus to Penn Station New York after the event.

 

The last train from the Meadowlands Sports Complex will not depart Meadowlands Station any earlier than 1:00 a.m. in the event the concert ends early.

 

Customers traveling on NJ TRANSIT trains to the Meadowlands Sports Complex should purchase their round-trip tickets from their originating station TO THE MEADOWLANDS SPORTS COMPLEX to avoid delays boarding trains. Tickets purchased on the train will include a $5 surcharge for each ticket.
