NJ TRANSIT EXTENDS DISCOUNTS FOR HOLIDAY TRAVEL

NJ TRANSIT will operate regular weekday service on its commuter rail and light rail services on Good Friday, April 9. Buses will operate on a regular weekday or holiday schedule. Bus riders should check the holiday service box on their timetable or visit the NJ TRANSIT website at www.njtransit.com.

In an effort to increase travel options for riders who are traveling during the holiday weekend, NJ TRANSIT will expand the use of its discount tickets on Friday, April 9.

The following tickets/fares will be valid on all trains:

· Off-peak round-trip tickets

· Senior citizen tickets, regardless of age

· Tickets for passengers with disabilities

· Family Supersaver fares, valid from 7 p.m. Thursday, April 8 through 6 a.m. Monday, April 12

· Special excursion (unlimited use one-day) tickets, except to/from Metro-North stations

The following tickets/fares will be valid all day for light rail and buses:

· All senior citizen tickets, regardless of age

· Tickets for passengers with disabilities

· Family Supersaver fares, valid from 7 p.m. Thursday, April 8 through 6 a.m. Monday, April 12
