NJ TRANSIT EXPANDS WARREN COUNTY BUS SERVICE
Route 890 and 891 Customers Benefit
NEWARK, NJ, October 16, 2001 -- NJ TRANSIT has revised its bus schedules in Warren County to provide customers with new mass transportation opportunities. The new schedules reflect changing travel patterns, as well as customers' requests and suggestions.
The changes to the No. 890 South Main Street and No. 891 Heckman routes include new service to the Pohatcong Plaza Shopping Center and adjustments on one trip to Phillipsburg High School.
"This is a milestone for our Warren County customers and proves we are responsive to all riders," said NJ TRANSIT Executive Director Jeffrey A. Warsh. "The additions to these routes will give customers more convenient and flexible travel options to work, school or shopping destinations."
The No. 890 route will provide seven round trips to the Pohatcong Plaza Shopping Center each weekday and six trips on Saturdays, while the No. 891 will travel to and from the shopping center six times Monday through Saturday. Neither route will operate on Sundays or major holidays.
Customers should pick up new timetables on their buses. Weekday schedules will be operated on Columbus Day and Election Day. Service will not operate on Veterans Day -- Sunday, November 11 -- or on Thanksgiving. On Friday, November 23 -- the day after Thanksgiving -- the No. 890 and No. 891 will follow Saturday schedules.
