NJ TRANSIT BEGINS CUSTOMER SURVEYS AS PART OF NORTHWEST NJ BUS STUDY

Customers encouraged to participate in bus survey about transportation in Sussex, Morris, Warren and Passaic counties

NEWARK, NJ ¿ Beginning Sunday, March 9 and continuing through early May 2008, NJ TRANSIT will conduct customer surveys as part of an effort to identify opportunities to improve transit services and facilities in several northwest New Jersey counties.

The surveys, part of the Northwest New Jersey Bus Study, will be conducted aboard selected NJ TRANSIT and private carrier bus routes to collect information about customers¿ travel patterns, including origin and destination, transfers and commute time.

During this phase of the study, bus customers will be handed a survey card to fill out upon boarding. After completing the survey, customers may return it to the survey representative aboard the bus or mail it back to NJ TRANSIT free of charge.

Customer surveys will be conducted on the following routes:

  • 79 Newark-Parsippany Express
  • 193 Willowbrook-New York Express
  • 194 Newfoundland-New York
  • 195 Willowbrook-Cedar Grove-New York
  • 196 Warwick-New York Express
  • 197 Warwick-Wayne-New York
  • 198 William Paterson University-Wayne-New York
  • 324 Wayne Transit Center-New York Express
  • MCM1 Morristown-Willowbrook
  • MCM2 Morris County College
  • MCM3 Livingston Mall-Morris County Offices
  • MCM4 Dover-Honeywell
  • MCM5 Morristown-Rockaway Mall
  • MCM7 Milton-KMART Plaza
  • MCM10 Morristown-Rockaway Mall
  • 966 Convent Station Employer Shuttle
  • 967 Sparta-Diamond Express

In addition, surveys will be distributed at NJ TRANSIT¿s Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center, Willowbrook Park & Ride and Mothers Park & Ride.
