NJ TRANSIT ANNOUNCES SYSTEMWIDE CROSS-HONORING THIS EVENING DUE TO PRESIDENT'S VISIT

NEWARK, NJ — Due to President Obama’s visit to Lower Manhattan later today and to offer our customers additional transportation options, NJ TRANSIT will be implementing full, system-wide cross-honoring between 3 pm and 6 pm tonight on NJ TRANSIT bus, rail, light rail – as well as on private bus carriers.
Additionally, NJ TRANSIT will honor PATH tickets during that time for Trans-Hudson access.
NJ TRANSIT will be deploying additional customer service representatives to assist customers during this time. Customers should expect large crowds this evening at New York Penn Station, as well as aboard trains leaving New York Penn Station.
NJ TRANSIT encourages customers to plan their travels accordingly for this evening, and consider adjusting their travel schedules to travel outside of this time period. Customers are reminded that they can log onto njtransit.com, or follow NJ TRANSIT’s twitter feed at @nj_transit for the latest travel information.
