NEWARK, NJ ¿ In addition to regular weekend service, NJ TRANSIT will operate seven extra trains on the North Jersey Coast Line (NJCL) Sunday, June 10 to provide additional seating capacity and travel flexibility for customers traveling to and from the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City.
To save time and avoid ticket lines in New York, passengers are strongly encouraged to purchase roundtrip tickets at their origin station prior to boarding the train. Tickets purchased aboard trains are subject to a $5 surcharge.
At Perth Amboy Station, NJ TRANSIT will set up special ticket booths for customers purchasing tickets with cash. Ticket vending machines will also be available for credit/debit transactions.
Extra inbound trains (to New York)
Three additional NJCL trains will operate Sunday morning from Perth Amboy to New York, with stops in Rahway, Elizabeth and Newark.
