NewBus BCG
NJ TRANSIT has launched the next phase of the NewBus program, the first-ever initiative to reimagine the local bus network serving Camden, Philadelphia, and the surrounding counties.
The Bus Network Redesign For New Jersey's Delaware Valley
NewBus Burlington-Camden-Gloucester (BCG) will assess the performance of 27 bus routes serving the region as well as demographic trends and emerging development patterns to understand:
- Where people live
- Where people work
- How people travel
Throughout the process, NJ TRANSIT will also rely on public input to design a new bus network that addresses current mobility needs.
Community Outreach
NewBus BCG provides an opportunity to engage the community to help enhance the customer service experience and improve access to transit service that connects residents and employees with opportunities throughout the BCG region and beyond.
NJ TRANSIT is engaging the community at the following locations throughout the three county region:
- Avandale Park and Ride
- Walter Rand Transportation Center
- Woobury, at the intersection of Broad Street and Hunter Street
- Moorestown Mall, outside of Boscov's, lower level
Additionally, NJ TRANSIT held two public meetings in March and presented information on NewBus BCG to regional stakeholder groups.
NJ TRANSIT will use community feedback to inform recommendations for the BCG route network.

How Can I Get Involved?
Your feedback is critical to making sure the final plan responds to the needs of the community. There will be many opportunities to provide your input throughout the project. In the coming months, we will be holding meetings where you can share your opinions on the future of mobility across the region.
