Language Assistance

NJ TRANSIT provides language assistance for customers who may not know English very well or not at all.

Google Translate

You may obtain information in other languages on our website using Google Translate. To use this feature, click on "Select Language" located in the upper right corner of any NJ TRANSIT webpage. Once selected, a dropdown menu will appear to allow you to select a different language.

Language Line

Our Customer Service staff is trained in using the Language Line to assist customers who need to obtain information in other languages. If you or someone you know could benefit from this assistance, call our Transit Information Center at 973-275-5555 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. or stop by one of our Customer Service offices at the following stations:

  • Penn Station New York
  • Port Authority Bus Terminal (New York)
  • Newark Penn Station
  • Hoboken Terminal
  • Secaucus Junction
  • Trenton Transit Center
  • Walter Rand Transportation Center
