NJ TRANSIT Offers 50% Discount on Roundtrip Travel from Hackettstown, Mount Olive, Netcong, Lake Hopatcong & Mount Arlington to Assist Commuters Impacted By Emergency Repair Work on I-80
Effective Monday, March 24, customers traveling from Hackettstown, Mount Olive, Netcong, Lake Hopatcong, and Mount Arlington affected by the ongoing emergency repair work on I-80 will not need to purchase a fare when boarding trains. Customers at these stations should inform the train crew if they are transferring at Newark Broad Street Station or Summit Station to continue their trip to Penn Station New York. They will receive a transfer ticket to present to the crew on the connecting train.
For the return trip, customers will only need to purchase a one-way ticket back to one of these five stations, providing a full 50% discount on round trip travel.
The 50% discount offer will remain in effect for the duration of the repairs and aims to provide an alternative travel option while alleviating congestion in the impacted area.
We appreciate your patience as we accommodate this temporary adjustment.
