Getting dropped off at an event and want to take NJ TRANSIT home? No problem! Just remember, you must have a ticket to board the train from Meadowlands to Secaucus Junction.
- How Do I Get to the Meadowlands via NJ TRANSIT?
For large events, NJ TRANSIT offers special train service from Secaucus Junction directly to Meadowlands Rail Station, just steps away from MetLife Stadium. Coach USA provides direct bus service from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York to the stadium.
By Train
For events where train service is operating, simply take a train to Secaucus Junction via the Main-Bergen County Line, Montclair-Boonton Line, Morris & Essex Line, Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line, Pascack Valley Line, or Port Jervis Line. Once you arrive, transfer to a direct shuttle train to the Meadowlands Rail Station.
By Bus
To get to the MetLife Stadium by bus from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York, you can take the Coach USA 351 Meadowlands Express.
The fastest and most cost-effective way to reach MetLife Stadium is by taking an NJ TRANSIT train from Penn Station New York (located at 32nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenues) to Secaucus Junction, where you can transfer to a shuttle train to Meadowlands Station.
On special occasions, NJ TRANSIT may offer bus service from Secaucus Junction to MetLife Stadium. When this option is available, NJ TRANSIT ambassadors will be on hand to direct you to the designated bus boarding areas.The NJ TRANSIT Bus Route 703 provides local service near the MetLife Sports Complex, including the Meadowlands Racetrack, and Bus Routes 85, 703, and 772 serve the American Dream.
Please be aware that on days when major events are held at MetLife Stadium, Route 703 will not enter the Sports Complex property beginning two hours before the event and continuing until one hour after it ends. During this time, the 703 will operate along Paterson Plank Road and make stops upon request at designated NJ TRANSIT bus stops.
- Ticketing & Fares
The fastest and easiest way to buy your train and bus tickets in advance is by using the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App, available free for your mobile device from the App Store℠ and Google Play™. You can also buy your train tickets from your computer or mobile device online with Web Ticketing.
Tickets can also be purchased at your boarding station from ticket vending machines or at ticket offices at major terminals. Be sure to buy your round-trip tickets before boarding the train to avoid the additional $5.00 charge. If traveling from New York Port Authority Bus Terminal, you must purchase your ticket before boarding.
