Port Authority Bus Terminal: Special Gate Changes and Overnight Departures for New Years Eve & Early New Years Day – Tuesday, December 31, 2024 & Wednesday, January 1, 2025
On Tuesday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve), select NJ TRANSIT bus routes will operate on a holiday schedule. On Wednesday, January 1, 2025 (New Year’s Day), most NJ TRANSIT bus routes will operate a Saturday or Sunday schedule. Visit the Bus Service Holiday Guide on njtransit.com for further details.
Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT) Gate Changes for Tuesday, December 31 (Evening/Night) through Early Wednesday, January 1, 2025:
- Bus Route Nos. 119, 123, 125, 126, 128, 165 (Local & Express), 166 (Local & Express) and 168 (Local) will depart from Gates 210-214 (3rd Floor – South Wing). These gates will remain open between 10PM and 6AM.
- All 300 Level (3rd Floor – North Wing) gates will remain open between 1AM and 6AM.
- Buses will return to their normal departure platforms at 6AM.
Customers departing from the PABT must purchase their ticket before boarding the bus. Roundtrip tickets may be purchased from bus operators inbound TO New York, at NJ TRANSIT ticket windows 1-10 or from Ticket Vending Machines located throughout the PABT.
All normal fares and fare programs will be in effect on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
