Morris & Essex/Montclair-Boonton Lines: Boarding Changes at Newark Broad Street and Possible 10-15 Minute Delays due to Track Work - Saturday, August 6 & Sunday, August 7, 2022

On Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7 from 6AM to 4PM both days, trains on the Morris & Essex/ Montclair-Boonton Lines are subject to boarding changes at Newark Broad Street Station and delays of up to 10-15 minutes due to track work.

Boarding Changes:

Saturday, August 6, from 6AM until 4PM: Only Tracks 2 (for eastbound trains) and 1 (for westbound trains) will be used at Newark Broad Street Station.  As a result, Montclair-Boonton and Morris & Essex Line trains traveling in the same direction will stop on the same track. Customers transferring between Bay Street Shuttle and Midtown Direct trains should walk along the same platform to make their connection.

Sunday, August 7, from 6AM until 4PM: All eastbound trains regularly scheduled to board from Track 2 will board from Track 1. All trains will board on the island platform servicing Tracks 1 and 3.

These delays are in addition to delays caused by work on Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor to/from New York.

We appreciate your patience during this important project.
